Dr. Michael Goler

Dr. Goler comes to AASU HSA from St. Joseph’s/Candler. Before that he worked in Springfield, Missouri, where he served the 800-bed St. John's Health System & Clinic as a staff physician, Pediatrics Co-Chairman on the System Health Plans & Quality Board, Medical Management Advisory Committee, Physician Manager for the system’s Health Tracks Center and numerous other committees. As Assistant Director of Quality at St. John's, Dr. Goler was also involved with their Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) demonstration site, "pay for performance" programs and patient-flow projects.

Dr. Goler received his BS in biomedical engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. His clinical training was in Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine and Sports Medicine. He received his MBA in Health Administration from the University of Colorado in 2000 and his M.D. from Indiana University in 1978. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1981 – 2003, including two years as Director of Medical Services at Navy Fleet Hospital in Ft. Dix, New Jersey. Dr. Goler is married to a Savannah native with whom he has two children.
